Uttarakhand State Organic Certification Agency (USOCA)

Uttarakhand State Organic Certification Agency (USOCA) is an independent wing of Uttarakhand State Seed and Organic Production Certification Agency and provides an impartial, third party certification of organic production and handling methods in accordance with Public Notice No. 19(RE-2001)1997 –2002 dated June 11, 2001 as amended vide Public Notice No 72(RE-2003)/2002-2007 dated July 21, 2004 issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade Govt. of India, New Delhi in accordance with the accreditation criteria laid down under the NPOP (National Program for Organic Production) 2001. The Government of Uttarakhand assigned work to USOCA to certify Organic Production and Handling system in the country as per National and International Organic Standards. USOCA is a wing of the autonomous body of State Govt. namely USS&OPCA which is registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860.

Uttarakhand State Organic Certification Agency (USOCA) is an Indian State Government Certification Body and can certify Organic production and handling systems in the country.

USOCA administration is non discriminatory with reference to race, national background, religious affiliation, gender, age or marital status. All the operators will be given equal treatment. The candidature of any client cannot be rejected on the basis of above criteria.

USOCA can issue certification for the national market based on the National Standards for Organic Production (which is considered equivalent to council regulation EC 834/2007 and Swiss organic farming ordinance for unprocessed plant products originating in India) and recognition of accreditation and certification system by the USDA-NOP.

Organization is committed to certify environmentally sound production of food and the preservation of natural resources, improvement of the soil quality and health through organic and sustainable farming practices.

USOCA is a non-profitable certification program developed in response to the changing market requirements and regulatory nature of organic certification. USOCA is an ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9001:2015 as per ISO Guide 65 Certified Organization.
